"Why?" Julianna asks, finally.
"Well, I don't know. I was just thinking that well this is kinda your house. You bought it and everything and for a long time
Ron lived her. Then that ended and all and I don't want to raise our daughter in this house. I want us to get a house together." George says.
"Maddie is already ten months. And you want to sell the house now, just because Ron used to live here?" Julianna asks,
setting her napkin down and turning her attention to him.
"Well, that and because I want us to get a house together." George says.
"This is my home. I made this house into my home and now you want me to just give it up because Ron used to live here?"
Julianna asked.
"That's not the only reason and I didn't think it would be too much to ask." George says.
"Well you obviously didn't think right." Julianna says.
"What? Do you have some strange connection with Ron or something so you want to keep the house? Or you don't want
us to live in our house, you want us to live in your house? Or what?" George asks.
"This IS our house. Just because I bought it, doesn't mean its MY house. We live here, as a family, with Maddie. And how could you ever think I'm keeping this house to keep something with Ron?" Julianna asks, offended.
"Well your freaking out over a house. It's just a house." George argues.
"If it's just a house why do you want to move so bad?" Julianna asks.
"Because, I want us to buy a house together and raise Maddie in our house and this house still reminds of me of Ron sometimes." George says.
"How?" Julianna asks.
"Well, I just know that he slept in the same bed, slept in the same house, and he probably helped to decorate the place. It just bugs me sometimes. And I want Maddie to grow up around OUR stuff, not yours and Ron's!" George says. Julianna backs up almost knocking her chair over as she stands.
"Fine! We'll move but that doesn't mean I have to be happy about it! But if it's what you want then of COURSE I'll do it.
I'll do whatever you want me to. I'll build a house in fucking China if that's what you want!" Julianna yells sarcastically. She hears Maddie through the monitor and glares at George then turns around and walks up the stairs, angrily. He hears her through the monitor talking to Madison.
"Hey baby. Come 'ere." Julianna says and we can hear the baby cooing happily. Then we hear the monitor snap off and George stares at it. He sighs and stays down there to think for a little bit. He begins to clear off the table.
Upstairs, Julianna is sitting in the rocker with Maddie in her lap. Maddie is tugging at her curls and giggling gleefully. Julianna just smiles sadly, starts crying softly, and talking to Maddie who stares at her mother like she can actually understand.
George sighs and looks up the stairs. He slowly walks up and stops outside Maddie's door when he hears Julianna talking.
"I hate fighting with your daddy. I am sorry you had to hear all that Maddie. It's just that I don't want to move. I bought this house with my money. I got my start here. It was my first real house that I owned. Not my mom or dad or anybody else. Yeah,
Ron lived here but I've gotten past that and him. I haven't even thought of him in forever. I got together with your daddy in this
house, you were conceived here, and we brought you home to this house. I don't want to move. But...I love you and your daddy
more than anything in this whole world and I'd follow him anywhere, so if he wants to move that bad, I will." Julianna says. Maddie reaches up and pats Julianna's tear-stained cheeks lightly. Julianna giggles a little bit. "I love you Maddie." Julianna says and hugs the little baby.
George walks through the door then and Julianna quickly wipes her face with her hand. Maddie spots George and
waves her hand to him, motioning in a way that makes him think she wants him to come closer. So he does. He stands beside Julianna who is looking at Madison. Maddie looks up at George and then points to Julianna. She wiggles her arm a little bit and making sure she has George's attention turns her head back to her mom.
"Ma!" She calls out happily. Julianna gasps.
"Did she just say what I think she said?" Julianna asks.
"I think so." George says. Julianna laughs and hugs the little girl. She coos delightedly. When Julianna pulls her away she smiles excitedly. George bends down and kisses the little girls cheek and she giggles happily. He ruffles up her tiny curls a little bit and she smiles.
"That's my girl!" George says and chuckles. He points to Julianna. "Who's that? Huh Maddie, who's that?" George asks.
"Ma!" Maddie cries out clapping her hands delightedly. "Ma! Ma! Ma!" She says over and over. George laughs and Julianna hugs Madison again. Julianna kisses Maddie's forehead and makes a funny noise with her lips. Maddie giggles. Julianna does it again and again. Maddie is laughing now. She goes towards Julianna's forehead with her mouth and Julianna leans down. Maddie bumps her lips onto Julianna's forehead and makes a funny baby noise and spits a little bit. Julianna giggles and George chuckles as he watches.
"Are you hungry Maddie?" Julianna asks. Maddie just looks at her and coos. "Is Maddie hungry?" Julianna asks again smiling. She moves Madison so she is cradling her and then she lifts up her shirt and moves her bra to the side and brings Maddie's mouth to her breast. The baby latches on quickly and starts to eat. Julianna smiles. "That's a good girl." Julianna says. She pats the babies back as she watches her. George just stays down on his knees and watches. Julianna glances quickly up at him and he
smiles slightly, unsure of what to say so he just watches. After Julianna feeds her, Maddie stares up at her mother who is rocking
her slowly. The baby eventually drifts off to sleep and Julianna stands up to put her down. George rises up and stands. She lays Maddie down into her crib and tucks her in. She turns back to George.
"Julianna...I" George starts.
"No George. I'm sorry for yelling at you and.."
"We don't have to move if you don't want to. And I know you don't because I heard you talking to Maddie. So we aren't moving, okay?" George asks.
"No George, I understand. We will move if it's what you want." Julianna says.
"Julianna, I don't care where we live. If we live here, or another house, or China!" George says and smiles. She blushes slightly and looks down. "I just want to live with you and have you with me." George says and tilts her chin up with his finger. "I love you Julianna." George says and then leans over and kisses her lips gently. When they pull away she smiles and leans into him wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her head on his chest. He wraps his arms around her and pulls her close hugging her tightly to him.
"Please welcome Anthony Edwards, Julianna Margulies, and George Clooney from the hit TV drama ER!" Rosie O'Donnell's voice rings out. Tony walks out, followed by Julianna and George. Rosie kisses each of them and they sit down beside her desk in that order. Rosie goes and sits back at her desk.
"Well hello!" Rosie says.
"Hi." Tony says.
"Hey." Julianna and George say.
"How are you?" Rosie asks.
"Great." Julianna says.
"Fine." Tony says.
"Wonderful!" George says. Rosie chuckles.
"This is going to be hilarious if you all three have to answer like that." Rosie says. Everyone chuckles.
"So..ANTHONY...What's going on with ER?" Rosie asks. George chuckles.
"Well..right now we are just beginning to film season 6. George and Julianna's last season," he says, looking at them and then turning back to Rosie, "and I guess..nothing really too exciting is going on right now. We can't tell you too much or we'll be in trouble." Tony says smiling.
"So if this is George and Julianna's last season, when is yours?" Rosie asks.
"Well I'm signed on til after season 7 and we'll see what happens by then." Tony says.
"So, how are your kids?" Rosie asks them all.
"Oh my daughter and son are wonderful." Tony says.
"Oh guess what?" Julianna says happily.
"What?" Rosie asks.
"The other day our daughter said her first word." Julianna says. Rosie smiles. George chuckles.
"It was so funny. We were both in the room when it happened. Go ahead you tell it." George says to Julianna.
"She looks up at George and then points to me. She waves her little arm around and then she just says Ma!" Julianna says. Rosie chuckles.
"Yeah then when we were hugging her and laughing she knew she had done something right so she just started clapping
her hands together and kept repeating it over and over." George said.
"So how old is she now?" Rosie asks.
"9 months." Julianna says.
"What's her name?" Rosie asks.
"Madison." George answers.
"That's a cute name. My youngest daughter is about that age too. So are you planning on more kids?" Rosie asks them all.
"Well, right now my wife and I want another child. Our son is 2 and our daughter is 4, so we are thinking it's about time for another one." Tony says. Rosie smiles.
"What about you two? Anymore babies in your future plans?" Rosie asks.
"Well, we've talked about it, but we haven't made any concrete plans." George says.
"We both want more children but we thought about waiting til Maddie is a little bit older." Julianna says.
"That's wonderful. So what other projects are you working on besides ER?" Rosie asks.
"I'm not working on anything right now." Tony says.
"We are just beginning to film, so most of us don't have any plans right now because it's hard enough starting to film ER, we're very busy. But Julianna has a movie that she is going to start working on later this year." George says.
"What do you all plan on doing after your leave ER?" Rosie asks.
"Maybe movies or TV shows. I don't really know yet." Tony says.
"Movies." George says.
"Small movie rolls and plays." Julianna says.
"That's great. I see ya Roger!" Rosie says waving a little bit to the director. "He's yelling at me that we have to go, so I better hit a commercial break. Well ER's new season starts October 12th so tune in to see Anthony Edwards, Julianna Margulies, and George Clooney." Rosie says and it cuts to commercial.
"Well thanks for coming you three." Rosie says.
"Your welcome." George says speaking for the three of them. Rosie gets up and walks around as the others stand up.
"I hope you can come back soon." Rosie says.
"Sure." Tony says.
"Well, take care of those children of yours and I'll see you soon." Rosie says.
"You too. Bye." Julianna says. They turn towards the audience and wave as they walk off.
"Mamama ma ma MA MA" We hear Madison calling out to Julianna through the baby monitor. Julianna groans.
"I'll go get her." George says.
"She's calling me. Maybe I should go get her." Julianna says.
"Well I'll bring her back in here. Hold on." George says and gets out of bed. Julianna can hear him enter Madison's room through the monitor.
"Hey Maddie. How's my girl doing? Huh?" George asks and picks the little girl up. She giggles delightedly. He twirls her around a little bit.
"Eeeee" Madison coos. George chuckles.
"Come on little girl. Your mommy wants to see you." George says.
"Ma!" Madison calls out. George carries her into the room and when she sees Julianna she says it again.
"How's my Maddie?" Julianna asks. George sets Madison onto the bed. She pulls herself over to the back of the bed and pulls herself into a sitting position on the pillow. George slides into bed and they two parents turn their attention to Madison. The little girl reaches down and pats them both on the face whacking George in the eye. He chuckles and reaches up and kisses
Madison's hand. She giggles. She leans forward and puts her face up next to George's.
"Daddy!" She says. George gasps. He sits up and smiles.
"Madison did you just say Daddy?" He asks. Julianna is watching with a smile on her face.
"Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!" She says. He laughs and picks her up. He lays back on the bed and holds her above him. He "flies" with her and she laughs.
"I love you Maddie girl!" George says. He lifts up her shirt with one hand and brings her down to him, blowing a raspberry onto her stomach. She giggles and he rubs his rough chin against her belly. She hits his arms and he smiles and blows another raspberry. She giggles and he chuckles. Julianna smiles. He puts the little girl onto his stomach and she smiles. She looks over at
her mom and reaches her arms out.
"Ma!" She says. Julianna sits up and grabs onto her bring her into her lap.
"Is Madison hungry?" Julianna asks. George turns onto his side, holding his head up with his arm. Julianna brings the baby down to her lap and lifts her shirt. Madison latches onto her breast and starts eating. Julianna laughs.
"I take that as a yes." George says and chuckles. He reaches over and strokes Maddie's cheek. The little girl is staring up
at her mother with her hand laying on her breast. Julianna starts singing softly and rocking the little girl in her arms. George
watches with a smile on his face. She stops singing after Madison is done eating and has fallen asleep in her arms. "Julianna, I was thinking about something we haven't really talked about." George says.
"What's that?" Julianna asks.
"Well on Rosie the other day I was thinking." George says but she cuts him off.
"About more children?" She asks. He nods.
"Yes. I mean we both want more and she just got me thinking. I love Madison with all my heart and I want more babies with you. It's amazing." George says.
"I know." Julianna says nodding as she looks at George.
"But, I want to talk about when." George says.
"I've been thinking about that too. I mean Madison is 9 months old and let's just say I got pregnant now. She would be about a year and a half by the time she had a sibling. That would be two really young children at once. We barely have enough
time for her. I mean if I get pregnant now, I really wouldn't mind. But I think I want to wait a little bit. Until she's a little older." Julianna says. George nods.
"I think that would be a good idea." George says.
"I'm glad we agree." Julianna says. He leans up and kisses her.
"I'm going to go get in the shower okay?" George asks.
"Will you wait for me to put her down and let me join you?" Julianna asks. He smiles.
"You betcha." He says and she smiles. They get up to start the day.
