Doug: So Toby doesn't get to come inside?

Carol: Doug! God, you scared me.

Doug: Yeah, I was hiding over there under the El Track.

He chuckles a little as he walks up her steps.

Carol: Good thing the neighbors didn't see you or they would've called the cops.

She smiles.

Carol: So what are you doing here?

Doug: So Toby doesn't get to come inside?

Carol: It was only the 3rd date of course Toby does not get to come inside.

Doug walks in front of Carol and stares at her, smiling.

Carol: What?

Carol smiles.

Carol: What?

Carol becomes slightly self-conscious.

Doug leans over and gives Carol a small kiss on the lips then he smiles. Carol stares at him with a blank face. But Doug still smiles and so Carol leans over and gives Doug a long and more passionate kiss.

"CUT!" Yelled the director. Julianna and George pulled away from each other. George started to joke with Julianna about her breath and she only half-heartedly answered.

"I..uh..I'm going to my trailer." Julianna said and walked off to her trailer. George looked at her quizzically but walked back to his trailer.

When Julianna got inside she flopped down onto the bed. She buried her face into her pillow and let out an exasperated moan. She didn't understand. A couple of weeks ago, she had started to become self-conscious around George, thinking of him a lot, even when she was with Ron. Ron had broken up with her a couple of days ago and she hadn't had any emotions about it. They had just grown apart. Most of her friends knew that her relationship with Ron had kinda died down and when she told them they weren't a couple anymore, everyone didn't have to ask why. Julianna was greatful for that. But then, unexpectedly she had started having feelings for George. She would do girlish things around him, she would wonder how she looked, if her breath smelled. All the signs of a crush. But then she realized it wasn't just a crush. For years, since the first time she had met him in person she had feelings for him. Subconsciously of course. She had been in love with him for 3 years. She just had Ron as a distraction. Ron was a wonderful man, he was a lot of things she wanted. But he didn't do things to her like George did. He didn't kiss like George did, he didn't make her laugh like George did, he didn't hug her the way George did, but he had loved her the way George hadn't. That's why she had kept away from George. Pushed those thoughts away. He had Celine and she had Ron. But now she didn't have Ron and she knew she was in love with George, but she could never tell him. She let out another exasperated moan into her pillow and turned onto her back.

George knew there was something wrong with Julianna. In the past couple of weeks, she had acted strangely around him. He couldn't put his finger on it. And he was surprised when she said told him she was single, because he thought she would have at least been a little upset, but she hadn't expressed any emotions over it. He wanted to get to the bottom of it. So he decided to go over to her trailer and talk to her. He stood up and walked out his trailer, down the steps, and a few feet over to her neighboring trailer. He knocked softly.

Julianna heard the knocking. She moaned quietly then stood up. She hoped it wasn't George but she also hoped it was. She walked to the door and slowly opened it. There he stood. She moaned inwardly. She smiled at him.

"Hey George." She said, opening the door and moving aside so he could come in.

"Hey Jules." George said.

"So..whatcha doing?" Julianna asked flopping down onto her bed. George sat beside her.

"Well, I wanted to check on you." George said.

"Why? I'm perfectly fine." Julianna said flashing her smile. His heart jumped. He loved her smile.

"Well..you did run off right after our scene. And I thought I would check on ya." George said.

"I..I uh had a headache. But it's gone now." Julianna said, lying through her teeth. George didn't believe her but he didn't question her.

"Okay. Well..I also wanted to see if you wanted to talk about anything else. You know..Ron or anything?" George said.

"I'm fine George. We had been dating for about 4 years and I am not sorry we broke up. For the past like 3 months we hadn't done much. Whenever we were together it was awkward. He already has a new girlfriend. I dont miss him. I'm fine, you have to believe me." Julianna said. George nodded. He believed her. He could read it in her eyes.

"Okay, I just wanted to make sure. But I believe you Jules." George said and smiled. He patted her hand with his and got up to leave.

"Wait George." Julianna said. She stood up as he turned around.

"Hmm?"

"Want to do something tonight?" Julianna asked.

"Sure. Like what?" George asked.

"I dont know. Whatever." Julianna said.

"How about..just watching a movie." George suggested.

"Sure...why not. My place or yours?" Julianna asked.

"Yours." George said. "If that's okay."

"Yeah sure."

"Okay, after work then!" George smiled then turned and left. Julianna fell back onto her bed. I love that smile she thought.

George is talking to Tony, he glances over Tony's shoulder. He catches a glimpse of a mass of black curls. He does a double take and begins looking over his shoulder at Julianna. Tony realizes his not listening and turns to see what George is staring it. He sees Julianna and Maria talking and laughing. Tony turns back to George.

"Hey George." George doesn't look at him. "George! Snap out of it!" Tony says louder now.

"Huh? What did you say?" George said.

"What were you so caught up in? It's only Maria and Jules." Tony said.

"Oh...right..I was just thinking." George said.

"About what?" Tony said, giving him a little grin.

"Oh nothing important." George said.

"Uh huh. So what were you smiling about then?" Tony asks.

"Nothing." George said.

"Hmm...I think someone has a crush." Tony teased George.

"Me? On who?" George said giving him a confused look.

"I think you have a crush on our Jules." Tony said smiling now, knowing he hit the nail on the head.

"What are you talking about? Julianna is my best friend." George said.

"I know you. I can read you like a book. You've got a crush on her. I know you. Just admit it. If you dont admit it, I will tell her you have a crush on her." Tony said. George's mouth fell open.

"But I dont have a crush on her! So how can I admit it?" George said.

"Oh, but you do. So admit it..or..." Tony turns towards Julianna. "Hey.." Tony started to shout but George cut him off. Julianna and Maria looked at the men and made a weird face then went back to their conversation.

"Okay okay!! I admit it. I do! There are you happy?" George said sighing.

"Yes! Okay, so what about Celine?" Tony said. George made a face.

"Well I'm still with her. But it's pretty much over Tony. We just dont get along anymore." George said.

"So break up with her and ask Julianna out." Tony said.

"What? Are you crazy? She would hate me forever." George said, surprised he would suggest that.

"No she wouldn't. She's your friend, she would understand George." Tony said.

"Uh uh. No way." George said.

"Well have it your way, but at least break up with Celine." Tony said.

"I will. Sooner or later." George said.

"Okay. So you wanna catch a game of basketball?" Tony asked.

"Sure. You know I'll win. First to 21. You can have the ball first." George said.

"Yeah right. I'll win." Tony said and they headed off towards the court.

Julianna and Maria are just standing talking when they see George and Tony go off to play basketball.

"Hey wanna go watch them play?" Julianna asked Maria.

"Sure why not." Maria said and they walked over to the men.

"You girlies come to watch me beat Tony?" George said winking at them.

"Girlies?" Julianna asked.

"Give Tony a break George. He's beat you before." Maria said.

"Because I let him. But not today." George declared. Tony then stole the ball away from George and made a basket. Julianna and Maria laughed.

"HEY! That doesn't count. You cheated." George said.

"It counts George" Julianna said, laughing.

"Hey you, you stay out of this." George said pointing his finger slightly at Julianna and smiling. George then started playing again.

"Man he is so hot." Julianna mumbled.

"What?" Maria said.

"Nothing." Julianna said, blushing, she hadn't realized she said it out loud.

"Did you just say he is so hot?" Maria said giggling. Julianna blushed some more and nodded. "I think you've got a crush on him Julianna." Maria teased.

"Do not." Julianna said.

"Do too."

"Do not. He's just very handsome. That's all." Julianna said, trying to defend herself.

"Uh uh girl. I know that look. Your infatuated." Maria declared.

"No, I'm not." Julianna protested.

"Oh come on. Just admit it. Or I will have to tell him myself." Maria said.

"No..dont tell him anything. Okay, Okay...so I like him. Big deal. He would never feel that way about me." Julianna said.

"Have you asked him?" Maria asked.

"No."

"Then how would you know?" Maria said. Julianna shrugged. "Well personally I think you should tell him. I would if I were you." Maria said.

"Well I'm not going to tell him." Julianna stated.

"Okay, its your decision." Maria said. They silently watched the boys play.

"Ha ha. I told you I would win." George said. He walked over to Julianna. He picked up her arm from her side and started to wipe the sweat off his forehead onto her arm.

"Ewwww....George get away." Julianna said, pulling her arm back. He laughs and she makes a face at him.

"Yeah, well I'm going to go call Celine and let her know I won't be home after work." George said and walked towards his trailer. Tony takes off after him.

"Where are you going after work?" Tony asked curiously.

"Jules house."

"You should tell her then." Tony said.

"No!" George said.

"I wonder where he's going after work." Maria said.

"My house." Julianna said.

"Oh really. You should tell him then." Maria stated.

"I dont think so." Julianna said.

"Whatever you say."

"Look, dont tell anyone about this 'crush' please." Julianna asked.

"Sure."

"Thanks!" Julianna said smiling.

+---<o>---+

"You ready?" George asks Julianna.

"Yeah." She says as they head towards their cars.

"I'll meet ya there then." George said. Julianna nodded. They got in their cars and drove to Jules house. They got out silently and walked into the house.

"So what movie do ya wanna watch?" Julianna asked.

"I dont care. What do you want to watch?" George asks.

"Doesn't matter. Pick out something and I'll go make us some popcorn. I'll get us beers too." Julianna said and walked towards the kitchen. George sighed and started looking through her movies. He heard the microwave start and heard the popcorn popping. Then she came into the room carrying two beers. She handed him one and then popped hers open and sat down on the couch. They silently watched the previews when she heard the microwave beep. She got up and went to get the popcorn. She came back a few minutes later and sat down on the couch beside him, putting the popcorn between them. A few minutes passed.

"Ughm...," George cleared his throat. "Jules, I need to tell you something." George said.

"Hmm?" Julianna said looking at him. He looked down at his beer.

"Celine broke up with me." George said.

"What? When?" Julianna said concerned.

"When I called her. She asked where I was going, when I told her here, she yelled at me, then broke up with me." George said.

"What? Why didn't you say something? You could have went home to her instead of coming here. I just wanted to hang out. Now you lost her over it. I'm sorry..." Julianna babbled. George cut her off by grabbing her shoulders.

"Hey. Jules. It's OKAY. I was planning on doing it sometime soon anyways. She might have broke it off, but it's not your fault. Because we were going through trouble anyways and it was going to happen sooner or later." George said.

"Okay. But I'm still sorry." Julianna said.

"Dont be. It's perfectly fine." George said, taking his hands away from her shoulders.

"Well now we are both single old farts." Julianna said.

"We're not that old!" George said smiling. She giggled.

"Oh yes we are. We are old and pathetic." Julianna said.

"Pathetic. Yeah, I guess drowning ourselves in popcorn is pathetic." George said.

"Yeah it is." Julianna said. George looked at her mischievously. "George...what do you have up your sleeve?" Julianna asked warning him with her voice but smiling. She knew that look.

"Nothing. It's more like what's in my hand." George said, throwing a handful of popcorn at her.

"Awww NOW your gonna get it." Julianna said. She grabbed his shirt with her left hand and grabbed a handful of popcorn and shoved it down his shirt.

"Hey!" George said laughing. He threw another handful at her and this continued for a minute or so. Julianna stood up. She ran and he grabbed the bowl and chased after her throwing popcorn all over her. She laughed. He put the bowl on the counter.

"Is it all gone?" Julianna asked, stopping on the other side of the counter.

"Mmm hmm." George said laughing.

"Damn. I need to get you back for that." Julianna said. She was taking deep breaths.

"Ha ha!" George said. She walked around the counter and towards the living room.

"It's a MESS in here." Julianna said.

"Yeah..I'm sorry." George said laughing again.

"Sure ya are. Well at least we had fun." She said, turning her back towards him. He snuck up behind her and began tickling her. "Ahh...George. Get away.." She squirmed around and laughed. She couldn't wriggle from his grasp. Soon they were on the floor wrestling around laughing. He was still tickling her. "Geooorrrrrrrggggeeee. I can't breathe." Julianna said giggling uncontrollably.

"Sure ya can or you wouldn't be able to talk or laugh." George said. He smiled at her. He was now straddling her hips with his hands on her sides. He stopped and looked down at her. His face suddenly serious. He slid off her and sat down beside her. She sat up.

"We need to talk." They both said at the same time. They looked at each other and laughed.

"You first." Julianna said.

"No...you..Ladies first." George said.

"No. Guys always get away with that excuse. You go first." Julianna said.

"Okay. I...for awhile now..."George struggled for the words. "I can't help..but..but feel...I've had feelings for you. More than friends. And your my best friend, I really dont want to ruin this friendship, but if I didn't tell you, it would beat me up inside." He looked down at his hands.

"George." Julianna said. He didn't look up. He was afraid she would be really mad at him. "George." Julianna repeated. She then took her fingers and hooked them under his chin and pulled his face up. He finally looked at her. She had a huge smile on her lips. His heart lept and he couldn't help but smile back.

"That's exactly what I was going to tell you." Julianna said.

"Really?" George said his smile reaching his eyes. She nodded.

"Why else would I have been all weird around you. When we kissed on set, I didn't have a headache, but I couldn't just stand around and think of how you were dating Celine and that I would never have you." Julianna said. George took her hand and kissed her fingertips. He then kissed her palm. She re-situated herself so she was sitting on his lap. She looked deep into his eyes and smiled. He put his hand on each side of her face. He leaned closer to her and she closed her eyes. He smiled slightly at this. He opened his mouth a little ways and then leaned in and touched her lips with his. He immediately felt that spark that he could only share with her. She melted into his arms. They finally pulled away a minute or so later. She smiled and leaned her forehead against his. He returned her smile and hugged her tightly.

"Wow," Julianna said, "that was...Wow."

"Wow." George said and then kissed her sweetly.
